In mid-February 2017, in the city of Orenburg, GT Light supplied LED road equipment for the local road organization. The set includes - LED road sign and full-color road variable information display.
The location of the equipment is the M5 highway, Orenburg - Samara - Moscow, elevation 260 km. The task of the LED road sign will be to regulate the traffic flow depending on the situation on the forthcoming section. The road board will provide additional assistance in informing about the condition of the roadway, weather conditions, as well as about the presence of situations affecting traffic restrictions. Among other things, a public service advertisement will be played on the scoreboard, urging vehicle drivers not to violate traffic rules.

For the implementation of the project, the installation supervision scheme was chosen; therefore, the installation of metal structures and LED equipment was carried out by the customer. The connection of complex technical and electrical units was carried out with the remote support of the specialists of the GT Light company.
Variable information road board
In the production of this road sign, the GT10-OX-V module was used, pixel pitch 10 mm. Pixel shaping type - DIP. The minimum image perception distance is 7.5 meters. Thanks to the high brightness of the LEDs, at a rate of 7000 cd / sq. m, the played content will not fade in conditions of poor visibility and in direct sunlight.
The size of the LED road sign board is 3840 x 2880 mm. Taking into account the used pixel pitch P10, the resolution was 384 x 288 px. The aspect ratio of the board is 4: 3. The frequency of the image regeneration is 1000 Hz. Electricity consumption at peak loads is 9.24 kW, at average loads - 4.62 kW. The weight of the LED screen is 345 kg. Operating temperature range from -50 ° С to + 70 ° С. The road board fully complies with the interstate GOST standards.

In the manufacture of the road sign, the GT20-OX module was used based on the most reliable and durable Nicha LEDs (Japan) with a pixel pitch of 20 mm. Pixel shaping type - DIP. The minimum image perception distance is 15 meters. Brightness of LEDs - 9000 cd / sq. m. It should be noted that this brightness indicator is one of the highest. The project uses power supplies from the Japanese company TDK, which have a lifetime warranty.
The size of the LED road sign is 1280 x 1280 mm. The resolution was 64 x 64 px. The aspect ratio of the sign is 1: 1. Electricity consumption at peak loads is 1.1 kW, at average loads - 0.55 kW. The weight of the LED screen is 70 kg. Operating temperature range from -50 ° С to + 70 ° С. The LED road sign fully complies with the interstate GOST standards.
