Project description
At the beginning of November 2015, in the Kemerovo region, the GT Light company installed four sets of LED road signs, made by order of the Kuzbass Highways Directorate. This LED road sign was installed at 7 km.
The main task of an LED road sign will be the dynamic organization of traffic on the highway, increasing or slowing down the speed limit, informing about worsening weather conditions, etc.

Description of LED equipment
LED display size — 1.44 x 1.44 m. Taking into account the used pixel pitch P20 mm, the resolution of the LED screen was 64 х 64 px. The cost of this equipment starts from $575 for one square meter.
It should be noted that the cost per square meter depends on several indicators such as the selected components, the type of control, the availability of additional equipment, the U.S. dollar rate at the time of the contract, as well as the total display area.
Pixel shaping type — DIP. The minimum distance of perception of the picture starts from 15 m. The LED module has a wide viewing angle of 140° on both planes. Peak display brightness — 8000 cd/m2. The aspect ratio of the display is 4 : 3. The image refresh rate is 1920 Hz.
In this project, G-Energy power supplies were used. Power consumption at peak loads — 0.88 kW, at medium loads — 0.88 kW. Control interface - DVI-D. The system input signal format is NTSC/PAL/RGB VGA. Operating temperature range from -45 °С to + 70 °С. The estimated lifespan of the display is over 11 years.
