The new model of the LED sports cube for the home arena of the Lokomotiv-Kuban club has its own characteristics. The specialists of the company's design department have developed a project that takes into account not only the technical specifications of the customer, but also the requirements for world-class venues. After all, Basket Hall in Krasnodar is one of the few sports facilities that meet NBA standards.
Construction of the GTLight media cube:
- "rounded" corners increase the viewing angle and allow you to broadcast content "round" without visual drops, which usually occur when images move from edge to edge;
- LED ring at the bottom for broadcasting logos and inscriptions in the "creeping line" format;
- lifting system of 8 super-powerful winches for moving the video cube vertically.
The media cube in Krasnodar is equipped with a unique video processor that won the oldest European award in the AV industry - the AV Awards. Intelligent software allows you to create creative special effects and supports the transfer of images in high resolution (4K). You can control the equipment both through the Web interface and directly.
The difficulty in implementing the project was that there was a rather large distance between the video cube and the operator's room. The problem was solved thanks to the use of optical lines. This allowed not only to reduce the number of cables, but also to minimize the risk of equipment failures. The "hot standby" system guarantees stable operation of the media cube even if the lines are damaged due to their duplication. At the same time, no one will even notice a failure in the operation of the screens, since the switching time is "zero", that is, less than 1 tenth of a second.
The fans were able to see the new video cube on March 27 at the match between UNICS Kazan and Lokomotiv-Kuban on the home court, which ended in victory for the hosts.
